No Body At The Summer Market

Posted on 12:13 by Unknown
There's been a little summer market going on this past week in Plaza San Rafael. We can see part of it from our terrace. Just a number of small tents with gift items, clothing, jewelry, incense, dried fruit, candy, nuts... I stopped by the other evening and picked up some dried peaches (soooooo good) and apricots. They were a bit pricey, so we enjoyed them but I won't go back for more. The market continues to grow with more vendors adding tents. It will only be here through this week, which is when many of the vacationers (especially Spaniards) head back to work.

THE 110-YEAR-OLD FRENCH CAROUSEL WAS INSTALLED IN JULY FOR THE SUMMER SEASON.
I AVOIDED THE CANDY... BUT IT SURE LOOKED GOOD.
SUCH A SHAME. THE BLONDE WAS WORKING A BOOTH, BUT HER OUTFIT WASN'T FOR SALE.
THE STATUE OF SAN RAFAEL IN BACKGROUND.
THE ROMAN RUINS AND THE BEACH. AT LEFT, THE DELICIOUS AND EXPENSIVE DRIED FRUIT.
(THE OWNER CONTINUES TO "PUSH' THE DRIED SOUR CHERRIES FROM THE USA.)

I walked by the other night and saw a magician performing in an open area of the plaza. But, the first few days, there was a tent with a sign advertising "THE WOMAN WITHOUT BODY." It looked kind of tacky and I certainly wasn't going to pay the price of admission. I think her problem might have been solved, though, because the tent is gone. Two vendors took its place selling clothing and jewelry — apparently for women with body.

MAYBE SHE JUST NEEDED A TO USE A BETTER SHAMPOO.
