| A VIEW FROM OUR BEACH. NO BULL. (WELL, YES, BULL.) |
I sat on the rocks and enjoyed the sun and the view. I headed into central Fuengirola and walked by the zoo, the history museum, and the cultural center. The rain didn't return until after sunset. What a major surprise... and treat.

I checked out the Port of Fuengirola. There's a ferry to another town along the coast; there are lessons in scuba, parasailing, wind-surfing, and more; boat rides. fishing trips, and tours.

Some of it sounded very interesting. But I didn't find the port all that charming or appealing. It's lined with stores and restaurants of just about every persuasion (German, English, French, Finnish, Dutch). There might have been one or two Spanish places, as well, but I only heard Spanish spoken once by two staffers. I love the international mix, but I don't want to lose Spain. I quickly moved on. I'll only go back to the port, I think, to see San Geraldo squeeze himself into a wet suit to go wind-surfing. I'd do it myself (go wind-surfing), but I have to take the pictures.

| A BIT MORE CHARM IN FUENGIROLA CENTER. |
Last night around 9 the rain returned. It rained all night and this morning the sea and sky are the same color of silver gray. The break was nice. Today it will be back to hanging pictures... after a leisurely breakfast.
