THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA. REGULARLY DESCRIBED AS "SERENE."
We were having lunch the other day at a British-owned pub and I overheard two couples (from England) chatting about their holiday. One woman puled, "But where can we go for some warm weather and sunshine?" Her husband snorted, "Well, that's why we bloody well come 'ere, in't it?!?" I feel for them. At least we're not on holiday. We'll be here for the nice weather, too.

I still haven't done much exploring. Fuengirola has been around since the time of the Phoenicians. Our barrio (neighborhood) is called Los Boliches. It was originally a small fishing village. Across the street from us, along the promenade is what looks like a Roman temple entrance. It was created from ruins discovered in 1984 right here in Los Boliches.

The winds weren't too bad today (no "white water" in the pool), but the rain has been steady and heavy. So, I spent the day indoors.

THE POOL. LATELY A GOOD PLACE TO PRACTICE WIND-SURFING.
One would think I'd have gotten a lot done around the house, but Dudo only wanted to snuggle with me. So, I sacrificed myself, as I so often have to do, and lounged with my Kindle (and Dudo) for a good part of the afternoon.

DUDO JUST COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF ME TODAY.
